Camera Obscuras in ancient times people used to use something called Camera Obscuras these are used to form images on a wall in dark rooms. Camera Obscura can translates from Latin into 'dark room' but can also be referred to by some as 'pinhole image' this was used over 1,000 years ago. The Camera Obscura was used to safely view the sun and eclipses the Camera was then updated and in the 17th century or around then a lens was added to the Camera Obscura which made the images bright and clearer. As many people know a Camera Obscura can be found in Llandudno. The Camera Obscura was built by a boy at the age of 18 named Lot Williams in the late 1860's. However the octagonal room was burned down in a arson attack in 1966 but was recently been rebuilt to celebrate the millennium. (picture of llandudno camera Obscura above) (source: https://s3-media4.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/KU17J9FWVQFVJ0TBtVI5DA/ls.jpg ) the price of to visit the Obscura is only £2.00 for an adult and £1.00 for a child the Obscura is also open from 11am-4pm. Daguerreotype this type of photography was made in 1820's this involves brazing or coating copper plates with some silver the silver acts as photographic emulsion. the inventor of this idea was called Nicephore Niepce who then started working with Louis Daguerre this type of photography could however only be taken once if two photos were need two cameras side by side were used. next is Henry Fox Talbot, created the permanent image this uses paper that can be soaked in Silver Chloride and a salt solution. This idea was produced in August 1835, the good side to this idea is that compared to the daguerreotype this idea can produce unlimited amount of positive prints could of been made. Collodion this can also be called the wet plate process it is a negative to positive process however the negatives were made of smooth glass and not paper this makes the images much more sharper. sometime in the 1870's development of faster cameras inspired people to study movement of humans and animals. In 1889 photography reached its 50th birthday, a lot of people were familiar with photography and photographs but still photographs were quite difficult to copy. The Kodak Camera The creator of the Kodak Camera was named George Eastman. The Kodak was released for sale in 1888, the Kodak was a box camera that had a fixed focus lens with only a single shutter speed which had a low price on the market making it a very popular product. The snapshot in 1900 the snapshot camera was invented by Jacques Henri Lartigue. The snapshot allowed families to take candid photos in stop motion during their everyday lives. Digital photography in 1986 the Kodak scientists managed to make the first digital camera, the megapixel sensor that is capable of recording in 1.4 million pixels the first digital camera could produce a 5x7 inch photo print. This was the first step towards today's photography which is massively developed and very much different to all the previous attempts.

+1.3-1.30.0i took three photo the 1st photo using that's the camera standard exposure the second was using the -1.3 exposure and the third one was using the exposure +1.3 as you can see in the pictures there is a slight difference between each one.
this is the final outcome of my creative portrait, I really enjoyed creating my ideas and decided to go with the second idea as it would be less complicated and simpler to do for my first project. I thought that adding a black and white filter and making the design on my models face in colour to make it stand out and to add effect.
As you can see the image on the right is the same image but before I edited it. in my opinion i think the effect made a big difference and improved the picture making it look better than the original. idea onefor my first idea the model will be by a hillside with the hills as a scenic background. The model will have on a dress and it will be flowing out to give the illusion of some sort of movement photo. Finally the last part of my idea the model will be holding fairy lights and will be facing the mountain so there back will be facing the camera, the fairy lights will give more lighting and effect as I intend to take the photo at sunset. idea 2for my second idea i was thinking of doing a close up portrait of my model which will show 2 perspectives of there face. The face will be half and half, the first half will be a full face of makeup and the lighting will be focused more on that side giving the other side of the face a more shaded effect. As for the other half of the face the makeup will be more messy and ruined and also smeared which is completely opposite to the other side.
